Material

Nylon
Our FINE, MEDIUM, WIDE, and FLAT sunglass cords are made of high-quality nylon material, which is very durable and highly resistant to abrasion and tractive force. Contact with water may cause the nylon material to shrink (5-10%). Contact with any other liquids, such as seawater, sweat, parfum or creams may negatively impact the material.

Leather
Our LEATHER sunglass cords are made of real dyed cow leather. All refinement chemicals of the colors are free of azo compounds and are compliant with the regulations of prohibited substances and SVHC. Contact with liquids such as water, sea water, sweat, parfum or creams may cause slight discoloration. Because leather is a natural product it may be slightly stiff when delivered. With some time using the sunglass cord or through slight pulling in opposite directions the leather becomes less stiff and obtains the desired form. CAUTION: Do not pull both ends strongly. It may cause the leather to rip apart.

Chains
Our sunglass & mask chains are made of high-quality, non-corrosive stainless steel. In comparison to any alloys such as brass or copper, stainless steel has a significantly better resistance to moisture, heat and regular use of the sunglass chain. All gold-colored chains are vacuum plated with 18K gold (775 gold allloy).

Silicone loops
Our special silicone loops are very durable under normal temperatures (from 5-25 degrees Celsius). Too high temperatures or constant UV exposure may negatively impact the silicone and cause it to break. Contact with liquids may also negatively impact the durability of the silicone. End Caps and Jump Rings
All of the jump rings and cord ends are made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion and abrasion. Golden chains, jump rings, and chains are made of 18K gold plated stainless steel and are therefore highly resistant to abrasion.
